In May 2019, I will be giving a series of three talks at CASTL (The Center for Advanced Study in Theoretical Linguistics) at the University of Tromsø (The Arctic University of Norway). The talks will revolve around the theme of “Syntax & modularity.” The first of these will take place as part of the (exquisitely-named!) Thirty million theories of features workshop, while the other two will be departmental talks at CASTL.
  • talk 1, at the Thirty million theories of features workshop:
“What are phi-features supposed to do, and where?”
  • talk 2, at CASTL:
“The Anaphor Agreement Effect: further evidence against binding-as-agreement”
    • download handout; there is also a paper written up for this one
  • talk 3, at CASTL:
“The PCC, the no-null-agreement generalization, and clitic doubling as long head movement”
    • download handout; there is also a paper written up for this one
